Rowan Delaney

Rowan Delaney writes about the outdoors, sustainability, and recreation from a solar-powered home office in Burlington, Vermont. A former wilderness guide and Leave No Trace master educator, he brings authentic field experience to every piece. Rowan has thru-hiked the Long Trail, paddled the Allagash, and worked on organic vegetable farms across New England. His Silver Journal articles cover eco-friendly services, conservation policy, and active lifestyle gear with a gentle but insistent environmental ethic. He holds a degree in environmental studies from Middlebury College and serves on the board of a local land trust. When he’s not typing, he’s probably splitting firewood, tending bees, or teaching his kids how to identify bird calls.
